Father Michael Stalla Publishes New Book on Spiritual Direction

The Disciple Christ Deserves: A Catholic Spiritual Director’s Approach is a valuable resource both for spiritual directors and directees, as Father Michael Stalla, DMin approaches spiritual direction as looking at life through God’s eyes, seeing that even amid life’s disappointments and difficulties, amid the joys of the journey, that every moment is meaningful in the ultimate pattern of our life.

Father Michael Stalla currently serves as pastor of both SS. Robert and William Parish in Euclid and St. John of the Cross Parish in Richmond Heights. He was ordained for the Diocese of Cleveland in 2003. In 2009 Father discerned a call to the missions and served for six years as part of the Cleveland Diocesan Latin Americal Mission in El Salvador where he was pastor of two parishes and 26 mission stations. Returning to the Cleveland Diocese in 2015, Father Stalla served as pastor at SS. Cosmas and Damian Parish in Twinsburg until he was appointed to the faculty of Saint Mary Seminary and Graduate School of Theology, serving as Coordinator of Pastoral Formation, including roles as formator, homiletics professor, field education director, and associate professor of pastoral theology.

Father Stalla has given conferences, missions, formation presentations, and retreats internationally. His motto is “Today listen to the voice of the Lord!”
